What is “Victorious Living”?
Victorious living is living life as a conquerer over sin, death, hell, and the grave. It is allowing the power of the Holy Spirit to move in us and through us regardless of the circumstances that surround us. It is knowing who Christ is, and who we are in him.
Why is it important to live victoriously?
Because living a victorious life in Christ gives you joy. If you live in victory, you will be full of joy regardless of the circumstances that you face.
How can we live victoriously?
- By trusting in the work of Jesus. The Bible says that it is for liberty that Christ has set us free (Galatians 5:1).
- By recognizing that victory is God’s gift to us. 1 Corinthians 15:57 says that God gives us the victory through Jesus Christ. Victory is his gift to us.
- By surrendering ourselves to God (see Romans 6:17-18)
- By choosing to focus not on the trials around us, but on the God who is giving us the strength to overcome them all. The Bible says that we should “fix our eyes on Jesus, who makes our faith complete” (Hebrews 12:2)
