For the Woman Who Feels Like She’s Not Enough.

This is for the woman who feels like she is not enough.

I feel led to write this for you.

I don’t know who you are, and maybe I haven’t met you in person before.

You feel like you are not enough but listen to me close, what I am about to say is so important.

You are more than enough.

Maybe you are single and you don’t feel like you will ever be worthy of love.

You could have been passed over for a promotion at work and now you’re doubting you are a good employee.

Perhaps you’re a stay at home mom who works hard to care for her family without so much as a thank you.

For whatever reason it may be, are a woman who feels like you are not enough.

Have you looked around and thought about how your family, friends, boss, and others would be blessed if they didn’t have to deal with you anymore?

I am here to tell you that no one ever “deals” with you.

Everyone you come into contact with is blessed to know you.

I can say with certainty, you are more than enough for them!

You Are Not Alone

I can relate to you on so many levels. There are times when I am doing all I can to accomplish my goals.

I strive to make an impact on the lives of others and to grow in my relationship with Christ.

With all the work I do, and little evidence of success, I feel like a hamster on a wheel.

It seems like I am going in circles without any destination and it seems like the more I try to accomplish the less I actually get done.

Certainly, there are times I feel like I am not doing enough.

Quite often, I think that I should be doing more in life than what I am.

Sometimes I just can’t help but feel like I am not enough.

Tactics of the Enemy

The devil is so good at using our insecurities against us and causing us to doubt our worth.

We believe that in today’s society women must raise the best family, be the best employee, and look the best while doing it.

With the help of social media, we are fed the lie that we can always do better, that we MUST do better.

While working hard to be perfect, we never stop to be thankful for what it is we have accomplished so far.

Too often, we compare ourselves to the idea of perfection we have of others. We develop this thought that everyone else is perfect simply because we see posts on Facebook and they make it appear that way.

We forget that behind every snapshot on Facebook, is a photo album we will never see.

Between the lies of the devil whispered into our ear, and the things we see on Facebook, we can quickly convince ourselves that we are not enough.

We tell ourselves that we must do better, and if we do not do better quickly everyone will come to recognize that we are worthless.

Ladies, too often we are our worst critic.

There is a saying that goes something like this, “no one talks to you as much as you talk to yourself so, use nice words!”

This saying couldn’t be more true.

Too often, we dwell on the mistakes that we have made when we should be reminding ourselves of the good things we have done.

The Truth of Who You Are

Now, you might be saying to yourself, “she doesn’t know me, and she doesn’t know my life or what I’ve done”.

That may be true but I do know this, there are some things about a woman that are always true.

What are these things?

Oh Dear One, I am so glad you’ve asked!

These things I know to be true…

  • You are fearfully and wonderfully made! (see Psalm 139:13-14).
  • You are the image of God (Genesis 1:27)
  • You are beautiful-Song of Solomon 4:7 says “You are altogether beautiful my darling and there is no flaw in you”. Not only are you beautiful, but if you believe in Jesus Christ, you are radiant and never have to be ashamed (see Psalm 34:5).
  • You are God’s Masterpiece (see Ephesians 2:10) and are worth more than rubies (Proverbs 31:10)
  • You are in the palm of God’s hand (see Isaiah 49:16)

The things I have typed here, these are the things that you are.

The lies you hear, the negative self-talk you put on repeat daily, the things other people tell you, that is not who you are.

Those are lies from the enemy.

You may feel like you are unloved but God says you are dearly loved!

Maybe you think you’re not enough but God says that you are more than enough and you are valuable.

You were placed in the position you are in for “such a time as this” (Esther 4:14).

You are a citizen of heaven (see Philippians 3:20) so, be of good cheer!

While you’re working here on Earth, you are getting closer to your heavenly home.

I could talk about your identity and who you are all day long but I think it would be best if you read it for yourself.

Make a List

You are beautiful, accomplished, and you matter.

Take these truths that I have shared with you and write them down. Put them on your mirror, or somewhere you frequent often.

Dive into the word and feel free to add to this list as there are plenty more things God says that you are that I have not included here but you can find in his word.

Feel free to comment below with some things God says you are.

Cling to what is true and put down the lies.

Know your worth and walk in it.

I know, it is easier said then done but your emotional well-being and your very life could depend upon it.

Dear one, I know life can knock the breath out of you some times and can make you feel so small.

We all can use someone to pray for us and I would like to be able to do that for you.

Would you allow me the honor of praying for you right now?

Prayer

Dear Lord,

I pray for the woman reading this right now and rebuke the feelings of worthlessness, hopelessness, and inferiority right now.

Please deliver the person reading this from the oppressing spirit that causes the feelings of inferiority to come about.

Make every lie that the enemy has whispered to her be revealed for what it is.

I pray right now that you would let the person reading this feel your loving touch right now.

Remind her of the truth of who she is in you.

She has done so much to be proud of and I know that with your help she will continue to do great things.

As she picks herself up from depression, help her feel your encouragement and strength. I

thank you for the person reading this.

I thank you for the work that you have done, are doing, and will continue to do in her life. Thank you, God.

In Jesus’ Name,

Amen!

Sharing is caring!
