Read on to discover the 5 keys to victory in trials

James 1:2-4 (NIV)
2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters,[a]
whenever you face trials of many kinds,
3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.
4 Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete,
not lacking anything.

1. Choose Joy

Nehemiah 8:10
10 Nehemiah said, “Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared.
This day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”

The Joy of the Lord is Your strength.

The Bible tells us to “Rejoice in the Lord ALWAYS.  I will say it again: rejoice!” (Philippians 4:4).  Joy is one of the keys to victory in trials.  If you struggle with choosing joy, be sure to read the 5 steps to experiencing joy in any circumstance

Know this, no trial seems pleasant at the time but the difficulties that you are experiencing are producing a harvest of righteousness and good fruit for you (see Hebrews 12:11).

2. Have an Understanding Mind

Know that the testing of your faith produces endurance (1:3). Understanding why you are going through difficulties is one of the keys to victory in trials.

Know and understand why it is that you are facing difficulties in your life at this present time.

3. Have a Submissive Will

Submit Yourself to God, Resist the devil, and he will flee from you (James 4:7) Resist the devil and receive victory in trials
Submit to God and resist the devil

Submit to God and prosperity will come to you (Job 22:21). If you’re humble before God, he will lift you up at just the right time (1 Peter 5:6). Jesus showed us how we can submit to God no matter the circumstances (see Luke 22:42 here).

4. Have a Believing Heart

Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not to your own
understanding;
in all your ways acknowledge him and he will make your paths straight.

5. Have a Humble Spirit

James 4:6
But he gives more grace.
Therefore it says, “God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”

Be careful, “pride comes before destruction” (Proverbs 16:18)

He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God? (Micah 6:8)

When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with the humble is wisdom (Provers 11:2)

He leads the humble in what is right, and teaches the humble his way (Psalm 25:9).

Whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted (Matthew 23:12).

For the Lord takes pleasure in his people; he adorns the humble with salvation (Psalm 149:4)

The reward for humility and fear of the Lord is riches and honor and life (Proverbs 22:4).
